Neuromodulator Injectables
Neuromodulator injectables such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin improve fine lines and wrinkles without surgery and without scars.
What are neuromodulator injectables?
Varying brands offer injectable products composed of purified botulinum toxin referred to as “neuromodulators” and work by temporarily disrupting nerve signals to the muscles where it is injected. This minimizes the use of extreme facial expressions that cause wrinkles. Common treated wrinkles that are treated include those formed when you squint, frown, or smile. These are otherwise known as crow’s feet, glabellar lines, or horizontal forehead lines. The more current trends also allow for the lip in something known as the “lip flip” which gives the lips a more pronounced appearance without using fillers.
How often do I need to get these injections?
Because these are not permanent results it is most often repeated every 3-6 months, because the disrupted chemical messenger created wears off. However, some people get treatments less often.
